1/6 Jim Goose stuff?

Postby Switchum » Wed Jan 26, 2011 8:47 am

Hello, gents and ladies.

I have just joined. I have been a motorcycle nut since I was a kid and the first Mad Max movie pretty much made me wet my pants from the joy. Ever since, Jim Goose has been a hero of mine and Kawasaki Z1000 has been one of my favorite bikes of all time. Well, I have a few questions regarding Goose. I could not seem to find answers by searching this forum.

I know that there are many places that offered Jim Goose replica conversion kits for actual bike in the past and the bike's popularity never faded. I was wondering if any maker has produced 1/6 scale Jim Goose bike model kit or some kind of conversion kit...Also, I have seen quite a few Mel Gibson 1/6 head (somehow almost all of them seem bit off to me...) but has not yet to see Steve Bisley 1/6 scale head. There are any? Do I have to hire someone to sculpt one?
I always thought that a diorama of Goose sitting on his bike would be really cool.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Almost 60 views and no reply? I guess there are none made?

I am gonna have 1/6 scale Jim Goose sculpted, then. I don't know what I am gonna do with the bike model, though...

no, afaik, no maker has ever made any goose bike ever.

i don't know if you'll get a 1/6 kwaka either. maybe you'd be better off getting a 1/12 scale kawasaki to sculpt a bodykit for, that'll have much more resale value if you decide to produce it as a separate trans-kit.

Thanks for the reply, Aussie muscle.

I did bunch more research on 1/6 scale bike and found out that Minichamps makes 1/6 '73 Kaw Z1 900. Yeah I know it is not Z1000, but that is the most close one I could find and modifiable. The problem is that Minichamps models are pricey. The cheapest I could find was about US $179.

I hear you on going on 1/12 scale, but seeing many 1/6 scale action figures around, getting a head made in 1/6 scale seems reasonable. Not to mention all the accessories you can buy in 1/6....

Hi Switchum,

If that is the "In-Progress" shot I can't wait to see the finished product! The "Goose" would be proud...Well done!

That's a better likeness than any of the Road Warrior action figures we got.
