Hey all,

For those of you who haven't booked your Accomodation, a LARGE group of us are staying at Penrose Park in a six berth cabin and plan to have a MM fan party at night. The numbers are growing by the week, so if you want to hang out with the other fans and Replica cars that's where we will be. BONUS it's close to the Silverton Pub and only 15km to Mundi Mundi Lookout.

There is still accomodation available, talk to Rodney at Penrose Park, you will catch him on 08 8088 5307.

To all the MM fans making the journey......................I'm not sure whats still available but there's accomodation at the Pub in Silverton.

If you've not seen it already they have a mobs of photos etc from the production of the film.

Also if your travelling via Menindee.......................keep an eye out on your way into town about 20k's out from town as this is where MM car was trashed!

For those who are making the trek up with a small budget , Penrose Park has plenty of room if you like camping. They have powered camp site's available and if you are lucky you might be able to hire one of the cabin's which are also pretty cheap. The camp site's are about $4 or $5 a night ( bargain).which compared to the Pub might be a cheaper option.

I stayed at Penrose Park last time I was up there, and would definitely agree that it's good cheap accomodation. We hired one of the cabins between a few of us, and it worked out at something like $30 each for a whole week. It's in Silverton, less than a couple of minutes from the Silverton Hotel, and just around the corner from the Mundi Mundi lookout (where all of the opening chase and the final truck crash were filmed).

There info is at this page for anyone that wants more:

By the way, be sure to check out the Museum in Silverton, just across from the pub, they've got the paraplegic's yellow buggy / harness from the film.
