another mystery replica car

Like the name says...

another mystery replica car

Postby roadwarriormfp » Thu Jan 15, 2009 11:32 pm

Found these on an aussie car forum:

Story goes that the car is a former John Goss Special, and was built in 7 or so weeks!
The car is for an Australian Art exhibition in.. Venice ?!??
Was built for an "Artist".

Apart from that not much in the way of other info. (Most of the people posting in there including the builder dont appear very "Max" orientated)

Car was built just outside Sydney.

Wondering if he finished the car off with the lower sections and rear in satin black.
The chain in those handcuffs is high-tensile steel, it'll take you ten minutes to hack through it with this, now if your lucky ? you can hack through your ankle in five minutes. Go !

Much as I like the replicas, I'd hate to think someone ripped up a Gossie to build one. :(

Whats ripped up about it? It can always be put back to road car/Goss Specs. It probly wasent #s matching etc.. I hate getting the idea that just because our cars are replicas its not like its hard to put them back to original. I may plan on restoring mine back to normal someday. I know i can very easy. Thats why i dont understand the whole "Oh MY God it was a real GT turned replica" remarks At least with a real GT turned replica if it was #s matching at least the fake blower cant blow up the original motor! LOL :)

If it is a true gossie / gt and it's in crap shape you have my blessing. Most of the time it's mm replica or the scrapheap for cars like this. But cutting up a mint (or close to) gossie / gt is blasphemy. I always told myself that if I get a muscle car I'll murder it out and turn it into a road warrior. But if it's a Mach 1 or Torino Cobra I'll keep it original.

In the end it's all about what the owner wants. We can't do crap about it.
