Hey Rw Mfp, I read an article about the so-called private war the other day, you never hear much about all the US funded private armys in Iraq eh. I'll see If ive got the link...
http://www.smh.com.au/news/opinion/home-truths-about-bushs-iraq-war/2007/04/20/1176697087497.html
kinda scary all these US funded private armys, the coalitions soldiers, islamic warlords armys, iraqui police any al queda fighters all drawn to the conflict.
not a nice place with all those people fighting amongst or with each other!!!
Putting a positive slant on all of this, what the hell can we do?
I reckon the first thing is to get angry enough to want to make a difference. (get informed and educated)
The second thing is actually make that difference
Ive benefited from the current governments economic policy. However I'm angry enough to put aside my traditional allegiance to them (conservative governments) and vote the other lot in.
I just dont care anymore about my personal gain. I cant stand watching these people lie, defend the indefensible, give money to their business owning buddies whilst ripping off the tax-payer in the street.
The UK, US and Aus once had a good name as beacons of trust and admiration in the world. Now we are exposed as hypocrites of the worst order. invading and killing to feed our SUV's, flat screens and air conditioner power needs.
So come voting time, I will make my vote count.
I agree that the UN is a bloated corrupt slow moving body but it is meant to check and balance any dangerous activity by its members. Since weve now weakened it, what on earth are we going to do next?
