Upcoming Movies' thoughts on Fury Road

Hey all,

Upcomingmovies.com is a great site for forthcoming movies and Greg, the guy who does the previews, had some recent thoughts on the delay of Fury Road. I'm not saying that I agree with him, but it's interesting and plausible. Here's what he had to say:

I updated the rest of this page with this news a month ago, but I forgot to say something in this column, which has sort of been dangling out there for a year now. Filming had been expected to start on this movie sometime in 2003, but has now been put on hold. No real official reason was ever given, but my best hunch is that like all other Mel Gibson projects, it had to be put to the side while he continues his work, both as a filmmaker, producer and spokesperson for his dream project, http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hp&cf=prev&id=1808434069&intl=usThe Passion of Christ.

I hope he's right as well. The way I look at it, you only live once. If the concept for Fury Road is as great as it's supposed to be and Mel Gibson wants to do it and so does George Miller, then why not make a fourth film?

Think about it. We have three great films. If there's a chance for a fourth one, why not do it? If they don't, they may regret it when they truly are too old to do it.

Well lets wait for the next Gibson/miller interview, i still think there's a strong possibility of the film shooting, starting again in the next year, mainly because there hasnt been an official comment from either icon or fox about the cancellation, and the fact that(which i only found some days ago) that miller was working on the damn script for about 4 years, and also the dream Gibson movie the passion....

Mel should have some thoughts about, which movie made him big.

We know that movie, it's the MAD MAX movie.

It shouldn't be too long before we start reading about interviews and things like that with Mel because The Passion of Christ is coming out in February. Hopefully, some interviewers will be smart enough to ask him about MM4.

We shall see.....
