2005 Release TBA?

Postby Thunderdome » Thu Oct 09, 2003 12:08 am

Hopefully it's true and it will actually come out in summer 2005, but I guess we won't know until Miller or Gibson says something about it.

I'm actually really surprised that Miller hasn't said anything about the hold on production. He seemed so excited about the film and had such a clear vision for it.

A while back, around summer I think, there was an update on Ain't It Cool News from their Australian correspondent saying something like "the Road Warrior will be searching for fuel in 2005." Maybe they knew something back then that we didn't. I just think the most frustrating thing about this film right now is that Miller and Gibson never say anything about it.

Hopefully we'll get to see Max and his jacket in 2005.

I don't even know what you're talking about, but whatever, I don't like pretentious people.

Anyway, I like the jacket and I hope it's in the next one. I know he loses it in the final chase in Thunderdome, but he technically has it at the end of the film, so I think it should be in Fury Road.

Hey Thunderdome

I'm not exactly sure which bit of my post you found pretentious ... I was simply quoting a well known (... here anyway ... ) line from an Australian film to emphasise my opinion ...

It is my opinion ... based on what I know ... that MM4 will NOT proceed in the forseeable future.

Try this on for size ... all of the sets and props that were taken to Africa have been disposed of.

The cars were sourced, modified and shipped to Africa. They have now been sold at auction.

... and what makes you think that it IS proceeding?

Yours in self-righteous pretence ...

That I don't know.

I hope not. There seems to be some perception that I am posting this info to be a smartarse ... WRONG! I am simply sharing what I have heard from industry sources, some of whom were working on the film.

The word is that the project is on indefinate hold ... whatever that means.

I for one await the next installment with as much anticipation as any other fan of the films.

Hey XA

Beyond all that who knows what crap...

Mate you mentioned cars... If you can say anything be it on this topic please...

Any more info on the cars that were shipped to Africa and sold at Auction, any info or "Gulp- hope" pictures?

I absolutely know that you are telling the straight truth, so that is not even an issue for me.. But the cars, what can you tell us, what were they , what style, like Max one? Max 1.5 (that we were all hoping for), Max 2, or something beyond Max 3?

If they have sold the props, this thing is "parked" for quite some time I would think.

And if they sold the cars at Auction logic would suggust that there are no secrets as to what they were.[/font]
