Is there any truth to this rumour which I heard from a very reliable source?

The reason they named the character Jim Goose in the first place was because Bubba's famous last line was originally supposed to be: "Your goose is cooked."

The line was apparently lost on the cutting room floor, and replaced with "Easy, I know what I'm doing."

Eh?

Where was that post where people were saying how friendly everyone was on this board? I am on several different boards, and this one is the one where people are the most likely to have a hostile, sarcastic remark. I have seen some down right nasty posts on here, mostly aimed at Uncle Entity, and now aimed at new people. Way to welcome new people to the group!

If someone loves these movies so much they want to BE a character, that's fine by me. If someone loves Thunderdome so much they want to make it a religion, fine by me.

The fact that we are all here devoting so much time and energy to these movies is a little strange in the first place. It should be a safe place to be silly.

the reason UNCLE gets nasty insults is cause he's usually the first, not to be a dobber, (snich bitch to you americans), but i came along all polite and in awe after reading this forum for years and i had two so called VETERANS insult my point of view, plus uncle has a way of insulting where its very sarcastic and discreet but you know what he's trying to say, so i thought f**k him, why pretend i'm not pissed off, i'm telling him whats what.

"Push me, shove you!"

So much for the Goose discussion...

rock, Uncle has this very enthusiastic way of presenting his point of view. Sometimes he seems to enjoy stirring the pot a bit to provoke more passionate discussion. Call it the Devil's Advocate or something. Not to speak for him, but he seems to be more provocative in a clinical sense than just an A-hole. Plus, allow for the cultural differences. I'm a Yank, you're an Aussie, and he's Italian. We all have certain things in common, but focus on different aspects, and our cultures teach us to react to things differently. Nobody's wrong, and nobody's right. Don't let anybody's opinion get under your skin. Let the slights, real or imagined, roll off of you. Chances are, no offense was intended, and if it was, ignoring it is infuriating to the person who wanted to offend you.

Regarding it being a safe place to be silly, I agree. But there should be a certain degree of socially acceptable conduct. Maybe I'm being overly sensitive, but going off on 'Stevie P's' fender badges crossed the line. The man's a pioneer and an icon. So I fired back with a little good natured ribbing on the stream of consciousness formatted post. And the spelling... It was actually a pretty good piece of writing.

So there we have it. Hope nobody got their nose permanently out of joint over any of this.

Back to the topic, I don't think we'll see Steve Bisley unless he's in burn victim makeup, which could work pretty good. Remember 'Man Without a Face'?

Jim Goose in a souped-up Goss-ling painted in blue/yellow/red/white...hmm.

You know, I'm still looking through the design college classes for a class called Hand Waving 101. The designers at work keep using their hands to "smooth" out a surface and describe things, trying to translate a "feel" for the flow of the form and it's function...pictures, I need pictures, not jestures from the design jesters to build my models.
