Do you have to get the car converted to RHD if you bring one down here - do they force this on you? I would have thought you could keep it LHD. There aren't many around, and any I've seen have to wear "Caution - Left Hand Drive" stickers on the bumper, but I think you can do it.

Ankle, I was able to meet up with Rod last week on his trip down here, and it was interesting to hear his comments on the various kits around. He thought that the front on Charles Flender's LAST-V8 for example was too weak. Note that the LAST-V8 front was an original Arcadipane article made by Peter himself, and is identical in every respect to the movie car. I saw (and drove) that car myself when it was still in Australia, and I never had any such concerns about the strength of that front - but I certainly wouldn't have tried standing on it. From what I understand now it's more a cultural difference than anything - Peter Arcadipane's original design was on the mark for the local market here, but possibly needs some adaptation to be accepted in other countries (some 20 years later!).


Rod Horner's car is the only replica I've seen in person. We had to drive 7 hours "like a Kenworth hauling logs" just to get a look. Rod brought along his complete kit and I have a pic if anyone is interested. Rod and Kevin spent hours on the molds and really did a great job on the finished product . Each looked like factory spec pieces.
