Mad Max 2 Tractor Repairs

Postby owenmp » Fri May 22, 2015 5:32 am

In Mad Max 2, the tractor Max recovered for Papagallo was described as having the damage below.

"Its got a cracked timing case cover. Its broken a couple of teeth off the timing gear. The radiator's damaged at the core. Its got a cracked water pump. Its got a fractured injector line."

The chief mechanic asked for 24 hours to repair all of this damage. Papagallo gave him 12 hours.

Users on this forum who are mechanics, is 12 hours enough time to repair all of that damage in the real world?

I am comfortable having a "Star Trek Miracle Worker" set of repairs of Mad Max 2. I am asking this question only for personal interest.

I am a professional Mechanic and with the right tools, no how and right parts.....well lets just say you would be surprised how much you can get fixed in a straight 8 hours time. So it sounds very plasuble.. But there mechanic knows his shit he did know what the Interceptor was!!
