Mad Max & Mad Max 2 on Blu looks not like the films

As you can tell from the comparison here, the Blu-ray of Mad Max looks NOTHING like the original film prints.

Don't pay attention to the framing matching, just the colors.

The 35mm print is exactly how I saw the movie countless times in theaters.

The Blu-ray looks like there is a grey dull layer on it. And it's drained of colors. Blah.

The original DVDs of both MM and MM2 looks mostly like the original prints did.

Go back to the remaster board, Warner Bros. These preservations sucks.

The film shot looks like it has too much red in it.

The blu-ray shot they need to up the brightness and stretch the contrast, looks like it might have a little too much blue/green in it as well.

They both look off to me. I would watch the blu-ray for the better detail, and try to adjust the TV settings to cope (depends if the whole film is consistent, or if the brightness/contrast change from scene to scene).
