Dialogue change in different versions of the film?

Postby noe6 » Sat May 16, 2015 10:07 pm

I saw Fury Road last night in 3DX and Atmos sound. It was 2.5 hour long and when the half-life boy hooked the winch up to the tree he said " i'm hooking the winch up to the thing" and his girlfriend said "it's a tree".

Tonight I saw the film again but in a different theater and not in 3D. Tonight Half-life boy specifically said "i'm hooking the winch up to the tree thing". Also I'm pretty sure the film was 15 minutes shorter.

Has anyone else noticed this?

I've seen it in 2D and 3D and the dialog is the same.

Nux mentions they use that thing to winch to which the wife comments "its called a tree". Then a second scene plays where he gets out the rig and grabs the winch and they all ask him what he's doing and he comments that he's hooking it to the "tree thing".

Yeah DG's right, he says "the thing" and then later "the tree thing".
