Iron Cross Baja

Obviously inspired by the Iron Cross buggy in MM2, I used Tamiya's 1966 Beetle kit (again) and just cut away everything that
didn't look like baja. Largely built stock, just some weathering and engine plumbing here. (thank god for the internet for VW engine reference photos and firing orders!)

Well done. I started to convert one of Revells 68 Beetle kits to a Baja, but put it aside for now. The only thing I'm not liking is the exhaust. The stock exhaust sticks out too far and low for an off-road car. If you want any VW or sanrail references, http://www.thesamba.com is a great place to check for photos.
