You didn't have to go through all that trouble for me...
It's interesting to see any of these kits, considering the lack of information on them and the scarcity. I originally got my Destroyer about 84 or 85 :?: . The hobby shop had all 4, but only one of each. I think I picked the Destroyer because of the machine gun and the artwork. I saved my allowance, and went back hoping to get another, but they were all gone and never got any more in. :( . That single model started me down the path of post-apocalyptic modeling. I modded a Plymouth Sattelite, GMC wrecker, and some others along the way. The wrecker was a snap kit, and rolled pretty good. I built a big plow on the front and used to smash up other models with it. I was still a kid, after all... I have some crappy 110 photos of them somewhere somewhere.

It gave me an excuse to go through the slides. There were other car photos I were looking for too. I remembered the photos, but couldn't see them in my albums or box of photos. I bought my interceptor at a military model "shop" a bloke was running out of his house. He only had the Interceptor and the Destroyer. The Destroyer didn't appeal to me enough to buy. I wasn't particularly impressed at the time, because he had told me he had THE Mad Max interceptor, and I went expecting exactly that - an XB Falcon.

Interesting, not many new cars can pull this off. I've seen some more of your work over at http://modelcarsmag.com/ ;)

Awesome stuff! I especially like the two open wheel buggies, those are so badass! What base cars did you use?

Not to answer for Unicorn, but...
His samll car with the fins is Revell's Henry J gasser. Long out of production. I used to have one. It had opening doors, and a flip nose. The suspension is flimsy and lots of flash. I honestly can't reccomend any old Revell kits unless you really like the car and know how to overcome Revell's shortcomings. (poor fitment, huge mold lines, lots and lots of flash). Which is why treatments sucha s this are a suitable for Revell kits.
His other ar is a Chevy modified dirt track racer. If you have the druthers, search for "modifieds" on feebay. thers a wide variety of vehicles which look like a good base for wastland vehicles. Similar to the ex-police cars used in Road Warrior.
