Nice colors on there, looks really sharp! That's a gorgeous finish on the paint, too.

the reason i got that one too is cos i dont like the paint job and if i had bought the blue or black one i would have ended up liking it too much and not doing it haha. its a good job i didnt get one of the standard ones ramfett used for the xa as i deffo wouldnt have been able to cut it up lol

its not finished mate, it was the hot rod that is finished, long time before this will be finished haha. bit of progress tho, got the bonnet filled and rubbed down, just a couple of low patches, the middle of a landau bonnet it raised, debaiting on weather to do it or not.

Looking better all the time! I'd definitely not skip raising the middle of the hood, it's part of what gives the Landau such a mean look. It's also gonna be necessary to match up to the bulge in the center of the grill, not to menton a spot to put the skull ornament on. Shouldn't be too hard to acheive with some styrene.

Plus, other than building and matching up the front/rear bumpers and tail panel, the hood/grille are probably one of the only major changes you'll have to do for a Mustang based Landau.

Whatever you do, keep up the good work, it's coming along nicely!

cheers guys, little bit of progress. ground out the quarters a bit so the bumper would fit up against the car more, it is bigger but it bigger on the 1:43 version so im goin with that. got the car stripped pretty much, also made use of my mothers sieve haha just a mock up and got more of it left incase, think the lights need repositioning anyway. just need a front bumper, its lookin like im gonna have to make it cos i really dont wanna spend £35 on another model, will need to order some more milliput, running low and i know it will take alot to do. yeah i will raise the bonnet then, as for the little skulls, was thinkin of just using a little circle of milliput and poke in some eyes etc with a pencil and a pin or a staple etc, sould look allright. anyway few pics:

Is that aluminium or fibreglass mesh ? I used fibreglass mesh when i made some Code 3 XE Police panelvans, on the inside of the rear barn doors and between the cab and rear area. (didnt want any 1:43 villains reaching into the front).

Did you have trouble shaping the mesh, or it staying in the shape you wanted ?
