cavalier interceptors

i've been building models for a long time, so it was great that cavalier has done a decent interceptor model. The link below to my modelling album will take you to my two bob models. both are the resin kits by cavalier.

The right one (mad max 1 (mm1)) is built as the first movie version and is pretty much straight from the box. the mm2 version on left is a modified mm1 but i cut off the front and added the long range tanks. I bought it as a "body only" on thebay and put a mustang chassis under it (which is also why it has wrong wheels). Cavalier has since released a mm2 version so i've bought one of those to replace this one. the old one will be modified further to replicate the interceptor when it crashes.

Some good shots of another 1/25 example:

I thought this edition would have looked a little better, especially the wheels/tyres.

I stole the sunraysia rims from the CJ7 'Daisy duke' Jeep for my PlanetX yellow interceptor. They are a little oversize, but fit the tires i had.
