Ok, let's see if I get this right.

1/24 or 1:24 scale translates to 1" = 24"

So if your 1:1 scale measurement for a man is 6', convert to inches and divide by 24.

e.g. 6' = 72" divided by 24 = 3" for a human sized figure.

1/12 scale, you divide by 12 and so on...

The important thing is to have your 1:1 scale measurement obviously. As far as odd measurements go, I usually go two decimal places to the right and round off.

e.g. 6'-5" = 77" divided by 24 = 3.21. Round to 3.2". Remember that this is 2/10ths of an inch, not 2/16". Get a scale ruler that reads 10ths, or convert to 16ths.

Hope I got all that right and didn't confuse the issue too much. Apologies to our metric friends.

Thanks mate. Hey, did you ever put the wagonwheel on the front of the Gossling and take measurements yet? Just curious....it's kinda academic considering the 'Mont won't be here til AFTER the 100yr...

Sorry, been busy. Gonna do it tomorrow. This weekend is National Guard drill, so I wanna do it before then. I'm trying 245/60's on 15x8's in the rear and 235/60's on 15x7's up front. Stock US Wheels white 8-spoke wagon wheels.

Sorry to hear about the Fairmont. Are you POSITIVE it won't make it in time? I'm trying to get the Goss ready for the trip. Major complication due to possible military deployment. Keep your fingers crossed!

"Warning! Warning! Danger Will Robinson!"

Bronze,

245/60's on 15x7's will NOT fit too well in the front of the Falcon. I pulled the ones off the Mach 1 and while they fit, rubbing ensues when you crank it too far. I can't say how much of a factor my worn out suspension plays a part, but I don't think new shocks/springs will make THAT much difference. Suggest smaller diameter by using 14" rims or 50 series tires. Let's go see what Mike and Jeff say on the AFFC board.

Mitch: I'm planning on running 235/60/15's with the wheel offset at 3.75". What's the offset on the US wheels? Would a spacer plate take care of the prob, or possibly going down to 225's? Lemme know...Thanks. Unfortunatly, it's a definite NO on the 'Mont...bummed. It's in the crate, but not on the boat...just called Phil last night.

D'oh!!! Sorry! Typo mistake on my part. I did try the 235/60's on 15x7's Offset is 3.75... They rub on tight turns and I have a bad feeling about bouncy roads.

I might go buy some 225's and try them out. Or maybe Mike Woodhouse has some ideas. He can calculate wheel dimensions pretty well.

If it comes down to it, I'll pay the $28.00 and get some made with the proper offset. Only prob though, shipping is as much as the two rims...oh well. Thanks for doing the math.

A while back someone posted suppliers of the Aoshima R/C cars. I've misplaced a prointout and can't find the post using search.

Anyone have those details again?

Pete,

E-mail Scarselli here or from the AFFC board. I believe he got the best price, so see what source he used.

Mitch: Would a 4.00" or a 4.25" offset work better for the 235's as I've already bought them? I hate being in such a pissy-mistic mood...might need to take some Midol...
