I found an interesting site today, http://www.raremodelkits.com . These guys specialise in pocher kits, i.e. super attention to detail 1:8 scale models. I mean, the wndow mechanisms work for pete's sake!

Anyway I sent them an e-mail suggesting that they start making XB coupes & sedans, even if he just does factory GT's & mabe MM conversion kits. I suggested he check out this site, so if anyone else is interested, check them out and let them know there's a market out there. Imagine having a two foot long model Interceptor sitting above the telly!

Sounds awesome, especially with the level of detail Pocher kits offer. I reckon my boss wouldn't like it, however...I'd never get past the telly on my way to work!Image

Seems I misunderstood the whole Pocher thing. Didn't realise it was the name of a company that is no longer active- BUGGER!

Found another contact though in Street Machine magazine, Feb 2001. Anyone who has this issue, have a look at the bottom of page 48. You will see a model XC coupe with the bonnet open (or "hood" for the seppos), and have a look at what's right above the caption!

For those unfortunate to have a copy of the mag, the guy you need to talk to is Chris Schumann. He's in Rockhampton, QLD and can be reached on 07 4936 2934 after 5pm Queensland time. PLEASE get your time zones right!!!

If you're dialling from overseas the number is 617 4936 2934. I got no cash at the moment so I wont be calling him just yet. If anyone does, let us know what you think. The pics of his models in the mag look great. Looks like he also has a HQ Monaro. Maybe an XB sedan could be on the agenda. Who knows?
