Hey guys, ive got a buddy who has a 73 maverick with a v8 and he was toying with the idea of making a mad max car. Can you photoshoppers out there give it the interceptor look? Thanks. not actual car just one like it.

The Maverick isn't the best car for a 'Pursuit special' because of the shapes of the front fenders and sculpted hood. And there isn't much room for the side exhaust either.
Other than that, don't mind the haters who think you should always use a genuine matching numbers Falcon GT, and who probably thinks that having a functional supercharger makes it 'inaccurate' :P

I say go for it...until someone feels they'd like to buy you the car THEY think you should have, go with what ever works for you. I've not yet seen a maverick that's been Maxed so give it shit and have FUN....it actually take takes more fucking imagination to build a "max car" from something other than a Falcon

Some people get all wrapped up in screen accuracy and canon, but it's pretty limiting to restrict yourself (and others) to just what we see on screen, which is why I prefer "screen possible." It's tempting (and somewhat reasonable, I suppose) to extrapolate from MM1 that all Interceptors are XA or XB sedans, and a Pursuit has to be an XB sedan (although wouldn't it have made more sense for Pursuits to be XAs and Interceptors to be XBs?), and a Pursuit Special has to be a Monaro or XB/GT, but I think the MFP's modus operandi was the same as Miller/Kennedy's: Let's use whatever we can get.

With that in mind, I think pretty much any car in Australia is fair game for an MFP conversion. Go for it.

Yeah becuase 72-78 Falcon coupes are just falling out of trees as of late  theres no law stating you can't construct some sort of tribute to the movie cars. Quit being such a fucking Mad Max Hipster!
