Max to the track

Well, after much mishap and lots of work putting the new engine into my BoB,I took it to the drag strip yesterday.Even though my best time was only a mailto:14.1@97mph the car performed great. Now if I can only get some traction. She fried the tires in first and second, left a five foot strip in third and barked fourth, too much fun.I've never had ANY of my cars bark fourth and didn't believe that it was doing it when my friends told me,but it IS clearly shown and heard on the video tape.I forsee a pair of slicks and a driveline loop in my future(especially if I'm going to put the nitrous on it).Cheers,Bill

Welllll,it has a supercharger poking through the hood. But it adds no power. So it's all motor only, baby,NOW for some slicks! Bill

How soon can you get here? I took it back to the track friday night and got 22 runs in,nobody showed! Had a great time frying the brand new T/A's but they still don't hook up.Slicks are a requirement now.Didn't go any faster or quicker, but did figure out how to power-brake the stick shift.Left LOTS of tire smoke and rubber caked onto the quarter panels.Cheers,Bill
