I think I may have found a ZC Fairlane where I live, I'll have to check it out in more detail and I have got a picture off The Australian Ford Register UK, I'll go and have a look when I get some free time.

Thats it Bubba, the one where I live has alloy wheels on it, have a look on the Australian Ford Register UK site, there is an orange one on there.

Or does it look like this?:

This a 66-67 Fairlane (US model). A little larger than the Falcon.

I'm not certain. I'll have to check my 'database' (fancy word meaning "way too many books") and compare the American Fairlane specs/dimensions to that of the Australian Fairlane. Ford and GM (Holden) had a habit of making their cars overseas a couple years behind their time in the US. If you look at it again, try to find the data plate and VIN (vehicle identification number). There might be a tag riveted to the pillar near the lock bolt (open the two front doors and look at the pillar) or under the hood somewhere. The vin could also be on the dash visible thru the windshield. Write these numbers and codes down and we'll find out just what it is.

There is always the chance it is a car a US serviceman left in the UK and someone converted it to rhd. Either way, odds are good that you can source parts from the American cars parts suppliers in the UK. Just have to find out which US/Aus parts are the same. Quite few people over here have been figuring out just such interchanges.

BTW- over here, you could get that car with a 200ci six, 289, 390, 428, or 427 ci V-8s. The 289 was either 210 hp or 271 and from the 390 on up it was over 335 hp. "Stonking", indeed!

Looks more like the Australian version, no chrome bits or anything, i'll have to speak to the owner if he is about sometime.
