I have one question. Shortly after Jesse gets run over by the Toecutter, she and Sprog are taken to

the hospital. The Nurse states that Sprogo is D.O.A., however they had gotten all the vitals back on

Jesse. The Dr. also stated that she was salvagable. So, when did she die?

This brings up an interesting point. G. Miller was a doctor. Is there an organ-harvesting subtext?

1) bubba Z says "they must have cut his heart out, huh" when they pick up Night Riders remains. 2)To me the "salvageable"

was not meant that she was going to make it, but they could use her bits. If you listen to the doctor or nurse, they list her wounds "flail chest" "subdural", which i think refer to a grievous chest wound and a open wound to the head. I think they alos say they got her vitals back. So I don't think she was going anywhere quick. Maybe just a vegetable.

Somehow this also reminds me of the way in which the tow trucks hungrily chase the MFP cars in the beginning, like hyenas after a kill.

Excellent point! I've always wondered on this one too. In MM2/RW in the intro sequence when he has the crosses (suppoedly his son among them) I said to myself "Hey wait, his wife was salvageable, so who is the other one - May?" I thought perhaps Jesse and Johhny the boy might turn up in a future film - he as the bad guy again, but bitter and with a stump looking for revenge - and Max wife being alive still, perhaps with artifical limbs and a crutch or something, but alive nonetheless. I think it convenient to not kill her off outright via dialogue for potential future availability in a screenplay by being ambiguous. I'm not convinced she is actually dead based on just a fleeting image of some crosses and the Interceptor burning rubber superimposed. Max could have thought her a vegetable and buried his son and May who could have died of a heart attack back at the site of Jesee's murder. The possibilities are interesting

As the camera pans out from Jessies body at the hospital, does her body under the sheet look like it's missing an arm? Her body looks flush along the side - as if the arm is gone or made a stump? Just the lighting, or maybe her arms are folded...?
