Im going to f100 wreak anyone wanna meet up

Postby Wayne Jones » Fri Jul 09, 1999 6:26 pm

Hi,

My name is Wayne Jones, and i live in Adelaide South

Australia. Since i can remember i have been a Mad Max fan. I

am obsessed with the movie so much i have to falcon coupes

in my shed. One is a genuine GT the other is a black on black

lookalike "well it will be one day". Well the minite i saw the pics

in street machine i started ringing around, trying to get some

sort of directions. All the info i could get is that it aint near any

roads, its easy to find (if ya know where to look), its not far

from a hotel and heaps of people have been there. The

museum in silvertown also has the mechanics crane on

display. Im heading up there with a few mates soon but arnt

exactly sure when, and i was wondering if anyone would like to

meet up with me at silverton/broken hill/ where ever i dont realy

care. Any one is welcom. Also if anyone has any good

directions pleas elet me know. I can arang my time of

departure so i will be able to meet up with someone. I would

also like to here from the owner of the vehicles if he/she is

reading this.

I look forward to hearing from people of who are interested in

meeting sometime.

Right now might not be the best time in the world to go see the items right on the heels of the theft of the tanks from the second Interceptor (rollover car). These guys did a lot over the years for the fans and got screwed for it by just one or two folks. I think perhaps the owners could use a little "space" for a while. A sudden insurge of folks to see what is left may, to them, be misinterpereted as "rubbernecking". Let's consider their feelings and step outside our own perspectives to perhaps see from their eyes.

I understand and respect that the people of silvertown might want some space, but i hardly get time off and had already planed to go up to broken hill with a mate who is selling a house befor this came up in street machine. I was greatly excited when i realised that silverton is like only 20ks away. Now if i was only going up thesr to see the cars i would probably put it off a few months to let things cool down, but as i am heading up there any way it would be a shame not see it as i may never get the chance to again.

I apolagise if i have affended anyone as it was not my intesion. I also gurantee that i ant taken any survineers.
