A guy on IMDB wrote:

"...........I was just looking at the end of "Beyond Thunder Dome" on U-Tube. The Sydney Harbor Bridge has massive concrete abutments at either end. The bridge, or what is left of it, the plane flies under appears to be a highway bridge, over a canyon, level at both ends with the ground. Also, since the center of the supporting arches is missing, the bridge would have totally collapsed in real life."

Do you agree?

I always thought the dry harbour looked way too deep , like a canyon rather than a shallow harbour floor .It always reminded me of the album cover to midnight oil's red sails in the sunset....If not George , I think at least the set designers must have taken inspiration from it .As to the bridge collapsing , it was built from either side to meet in the middle so theoretically it could stand .
