Saw II at least twice - I forgot to take my glasses the first time, so I didn't see it as well as I might have.
Saw Thunderdome at least twice. Got there late the the first time, and just missed the opening. He was following his car on foot by then.

Unfortunately, when I went to see a long running I/II double at a small theatre, they had dropped it only a week or two before.

Mad Max 2 as a double feature with either Superman 2 or 3 in Cinema City when it came out.

I have, but only on a special showing at the Castro in San Francisco; I gladly paid to see it twice. Karol had his Snake Truck parked in front :)

My parents were original hippies and I saw all the fantasy and sci-fi movies when they came out.

The RoadWarrior charged my childish isht as hard as Alien did.

After I saw it I had dreams about it and pretended to be in it...

I saw MM2 first, I was hooked within the first opening scenes of the film, i don't think i even blinked all the way through, I was devastated when the BOB got rolled, and the warrior woman coped a gut full of arrows from wez, I then hired mad max on vhs which was in american language, but the same interest as mm2, the scene where goose and barry introduce max to the pursuit special was nail biting waiting for the car to reappear later as max hunts down the toe-cutter gang, later i went to see a double bill at the cinema, both where in australian which at that time made sense, i have all 3 on vhs, all 3 books, and dvd's, have 1&2 on blue ray, will get around to thunder dome on blue ray one day, i watch all 3 movies regularly and also travelled to silverton, filming location of MM2, and recently purchased an abbeyshott max jacket.
The chain in those handcuffs is high-tensile steel, it'll take you ten minutes to hack through it with this, now if your lucky ? you can hack through your ankle in five minutes. Go !

I saw MM3 first in a theatre in Invercargill, NZ in 1985. I remember that I quite enjoyed it but did think it sagged a bit in the middle.
The final chase at least was fun and I thought Gibson and Tina Turner were great.

Next I saw MM1, an edited version on NZ TV in 1987 and from there was a hooked fan for good!! Back then you could buy XB Falcons
(and Coupes) out of any Saturday morning newspaper for about $2000 - 4000. Seems incredible now. I made up my mind to one
day own an XB of my own...

I finally saw MM1 and MM2 both uncut on VHS in 1990 and that cemented my fan following!!

Finally got to see a very scratchy print of MM1 in a theatre in Christchurch in 1992. Have never seen MM2 on the big scren to this day.

My dream did come true though, I owned an XA sedan, XB Limited Edition sedan and an XA Fairmont 351 Coupe, all were fun to rip
around the roads at sunset by the giant BP fuel storage tanks by Dunedin wharf - just like in the movies! ;)
Looks like I got me some guzzoline eh....V-8?

Saw MM2 on video, followed by MM. Loved both instantly. Only got to see MM3 in the summer of 1985 in the theater, to a packed audience who seemed to dig it. That fall, they showed the one and only NBC alternate MM2 edit, which I VHS taped and watched endlessly over and over. Wish I still had a copy of that, I can't believe I didn't wear the tape out.

Sadly I have not. Fury Road will be my first Mad Max feature I'll see in theaters, unless the local CineMark includes the original trilogy in their monthly classics programming.
