I don't agree. There's nothing to suggest they cannot be the same character. There are way too many similarities. Maybe Miller started with the idea they were two separate characters, then it went far beyond his initial concept.
Remember, the final creature goes beyond its creator.

Also the technology (or lack of) doesn't support it. Even in MM world.

Agreed. Again, the final creature goes far beyond its creator. It was 35 years in Miller's mind, then the movie itself proved it was just FEW years from "now" (1979). 1994 is just fine.

Hey Uncle welcome back to that amazing forum, just do not tell me the char played by Hugh Keays Byrne in "Fury Road" will gonna be Toecutter again. As for me, he died crashed by a Truck in Mad Max 1. He cannot be the same char anymore. Plz, don't tell me he is the same guy. A Zombie maybe since he died.
I could probably make it on my own, but I like you kids.

No way Bubba, no way. :D

(don't worry)

Immortan Joe is the interdimensional counterpart of the Toecutter. That's it. "Fury Road" is set in a parallel dimension. 8-)

I love this forum and I'm one of the most popular members here. Cannot disappear!
