More insight:

Max is Jesus, and like Jesus he gets 12 apostles:

Master/Little Man
Savannah
Scrooloose
Tubba Tintye
Mr. Skyfish
Anna Goanna
Cusha
Cusha's baby (not born yet)
Pig-Killer
Jedediah
Jedediah Jr.
Eddie

Whoa, a Goonies connection? OK, Jonathan Ke Quan played "Data" Wang, who kept calling himself "James Bond 007." James Bond was once played by George Lazenby, who starred in a movie with Angela Mao called "Stoner." Lazenby is Australian. "Stone" (the bikie movie) was filmed in Australia and featured Hugh Keays-Byrne, who was born in England. "Braveheart" took place partly in England, and was directed by Mel Gibson, who starred in "Lethal Weapon," which was directed by Richard Donner, who directed "The Goonies." :o

Therefore, Mad Max is a Goonie.
