After an exhausting trip to North Ala. to pick it up here are the pics of us unearthing her and it in my driveway. Its amazingly not rotted out after siting for 16 years. The tires or course are dryrotten, the rads toast,it has a busted front leaf spring and the interior smells of mouse piss. Job ones gonna get her on jackstands so I can rip the tires off it and go find some junkyard tires to just keep it rolling and then I'm gutting the interior. I'm gonna try and get the motor started by pouring marvel mystery oil down all the sparkplug holes and rebuild the carb. Its a 292 Y block 2v.

Good find, Bart. She is in amazing shape considering where she'd been sitting. So what are the plans?

I'm not normally a fan of pick-ups at all, but that is a beautiful car. I want one! :D
Great find. The front end/grille/etc looks awesome and I love the FORD lettering. The kind of muscular squat stance is great too. Lower the heck out of that baby. Make it scrape the road. It would look so tough.
I want one, seriously. :D

This is the exact stance I want on my 60,same kind of wheels but mine will be either satin black or chrome.

Are you going to re-paint it? If not, then I would go with the satin black wheels. If it has a shiny new paintjob, then the chrome would be hot. That blue one looks awesome.

Hey Bart-
I haven't been on in awhile, but it's good to see you've moved up vehicle-wise! Nice to see one of the forgotten Fords resurrected. There is one near me for sale, solid with a rebuilt motor for about $900. BUT..it's an F250 with that heavy truck 8 lug drivetrain and it's a 6.

You might think about a 460 or a 5.8 (351 Windsor) with an overdrive trans. Rather cheap and easy to find these days in running condition. Course, if it was me...I'd keep the fuel injection on the donor motors.
