Mark Felt RIP

The former senior FBI official died yesterday of congestive heart failure at the age of 95.

If you are unfamiliar with his name, you should know his alias: Deep Throat. He was the man who leaked information during the Watergate scandal.

I work in Santa Rosa, CA., where he lived. A true American hero, IMO. He knew what the President was doing was dishonest, and against the best interests of the American people, and he did what he could. Too bad we don't have people like that in government now, nor reporters like Woodward and Bernstein.
I want the press to be antagonistic toward the three branches of government, I want them questioning everything those branches do; that's why they're called "The Fourth Estate". Not so now, I'm afraid.
Forgive my rant.
