Is the UK version tamer?

Postby TheOysterChild » Tue Oct 06, 2015 6:30 am

Hi

I have this feeling when watching the DVD (only released in UK yesterday) that compared to some of the 'you tube' vids of the film, that the UK version has been edited to show less of the violence.

For example. There seems less bullet strikes to the People Eater in my DVD version.

Please tell me that this is my imagination. I don't suppose someone has both versions (region 1 and 2)

I believe the movie is identical the world over, i have not heard of any such cuts for the UK. For the record i live in the UK but imported the Australian Blu Ray but i saw the UK version in cinemas (and on download) and the blu is identical.

If such edits had been made a huge fuss would've kicked up in the UK forums on the usual blu ray sites, god knows it did when Avengers was edited for the UK.

I watched it in a plane and I saw some difference. For exemple in the copy I saw Megan Gale, on the top of her pole, was dressed...

Can't imagine Furiosa's headbutt at the end is in the UK version. I remember they can't show headbutts in movies.

Yeah, in the original film, Megan Gale is nude in the "trap" scene, but in the international version she's clothed. That's the only difference I've heard confirmed.

Speaking of which, it is just me or did they CG out her butt crack a little in the theatrical cut? When I looked at it in the cinema (because duh) I noticed something was off. Gotta check the blu ray again lol
