Question On Coma Doof Warrior's Guitar...

Postby scfc68 » Wed Jul 22, 2015 11:00 am

Its a lead/rhythm guitar and a bass guitar combination, right??

Its hard to find good close ups on Google images and hard to spot in the film, but Im sure its 4 strings on the lower neck?

Intrigued as Im somewhat of a failed bass player - believe me, you wouldn't witness me!!

And two car horns
"UNDERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the front of the car.
"OVERSTEER" is when you hit the fence with the rear of the car.
"HORSEPOWER" is how fast you hit the fence.
"TORQUE" is how far you take the fence with you.

I'm curious, from a logical standpoint how would his speaker cabs be powered? Some kind of generator on board? Wired into the car's electrical system? It would take a lot of wattage to push those speakers. I have a 50 watt Marshall head and it's not like you can plug it into your car, even in our times.

What I can remember from several pictures, isn't that a generator directly behind the cab of the Doof wagon? That thing with the extra cone shaped exhaust pipes.

The guitar body is an enamel bed pan , evidently the guitar actually worked and Iota played riffs on it during filming , there must have been a genny on the truck somewhere , I saw them load up multiple LPG bottles to fuel the flame thrower while at the Sydney showcase but the music was piped thru the PA system not via the wagons speakers , the guitar music in the sound track is not played by Iota I have read

I don't recall seeing/hearing him play the bass part either :?:

In the film, we only hear it as part of the whole soundtrack; I wonder if there's any isolated scenes anywhere with just his guitar/bass and the drummers at the back, without the full Junkie XL ost??

If you mean IOTA's actual riffs - you can briefly hear some of them in the behind the scenes roll. It doesn't sound as big as Junkie XL's overdub :)
