Order of Soundtrack in Movie

Postby owenmp » Tue Jun 02, 2015 5:27 pm

The Standard and Deluxe Editions of the Mad Max: Fury Road Soundtrack appear to be in order, but is there a correct listing when each track is played in the movie? Is there a chronological listing when combining the tracks of both editions of the Soundtrack?

I can probably wait until the movie is released on DVD and Blu-ray to answer my own question, but I listen to the music often.

The end credits have some parts of tracks on the two editions of the Soundtrack and have some tracks that are not on other edition of the Soundtrack. Am I correct?

Are you just trying to line up which tracks go with which scenes from the movie? I've only been listening to the extended soundtrack, I was able to line up most of the tracks with the scenes in my head, happy to list down what I think they are if that's what you're trying to figure out. I bought the CD as well but haven't opened it yet - I am assuming there is no content on the CD that isn't in the deluxe digital soundtrack (I really only bought it for completeness!)

There are obviously some tracks in the deluxe version that aren't in the film (cut / shortened scenes?), the end credits might be the only one I have trouble with. Often end credits will be a rehash of tracks from earlier in the film, I'm assuming that's what was done here, neither soundtrack has a track at the end labelled "end titles" (that would be too easy!)

Don't you guys read the home page any more?!? Go back and read the news for May 5th...

Basically the CD version of the soundtrack is 70 minutes (which is about the limit for a CD). The "Deluxe" version, which is the electronic download through iTunes, Amazon, etc, is closer to 2 hours. I bought it through iTunes (I don't think Amazon sells digital downloads to Australia still?), it cost less than what the CD does to buy here. The only way the Deluxe version would make it to CD is if they publish a double CD - I've searched a few times, and I don't see any such thing published anywhere.

There are links to all of them on the home page if you want to check out the track lists, etc - If you just want to see the track list for the Deluxe, Amazon is probably easier to browse than iTunes, they just likely won't sell it to you in Australia.
