Is this not the right time to tell you I'm building a Tetsuo Power bike?

Yep. If memory serves me correctly, that one uses rods from the handle bars to work a conventional set of forks, so they fake the extreme rake and hide it in the covers. That has the downside that the fairing over the forks doesn't twist.

Being a stickler for accuracy, mine will pivot the whole fairing as a separate unit, like in the comic. I've come up with a trailing arm fork design based on a X that makes the forks self centering at speed. It will be power by an electric motor for simplicity, as that can sit behind and below the rider, for a lower CG, and a lot less chains.

The major downside to the design I've found is that it has to be built around the size of the intended rider. The high backseat means the arm reach of the rider determines the layout and positioning of the bars and headstock. This is certainly one of those designs where it was easier to draw on paper than create in real life. Also due to the rake, it will be a good highway cruiser, but not very manoeuvrable at low speed.

There is one scene in the comic where a passenger ride pillion....not possible in real life

What was his story?

I wondered, okay, how does a man who is blind and mute—and basically he could only play a guitar—survive the apocalypse? It’s actually something I’d like to use if I make another film, so I’d better keep that one to myself.

I think that’s the most detail you’ve ever given about sequels.

But that’s all I can say about it now, because what’s happened is every time I’ve said anything it gets so confused and crazy. If I give even a hint of the story, people start speculating this way and that, and it’s too much. People take a little bit of information and embellish, and then if I deny it, that becomes its own story.

It’s just a world that’s so rich and it’s a very, very seductive playground, so of course I’d love to return to it. Once it’s in your head, it’s very easy to go there. But I think I’d like to do something small and quick next. My wife, Margaret [Sixel], who cut the film, said, “George, just set the bar a little lower next time.” And that’s what I’d like to do. The fact is we’re definitely talking about sequels and thinking about them, but if I could do something next that’s not so time-consuming and elaborate, that’s what I want to do; just to clear out the exhaust.

Seale wants to shoot next Mad Max movie

Cinematographer John Seale, who was nominated for an Oscar for Mad Max: Fury Road this year, delivered a highly entertaining masterclass for the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts this week. And as well as talking about shooting such movies as Witness, The English Patient, Rain Man and Cold Mountain, the veteran director of photography revealed he had read a script for what might be the next Mad Max movie but was yet to discuss shooting it with director George Miller. "George doesn't let much out," Seale said. "I do believe he's being pressured for another Mad Max. I have read one of them and it's very interesting as only Mad Max could be – a little different from Fury Road." That script – one of two planned instalments – is a prequel centring on Charlize Theron's warrior Furiosa. "I hope he keeps going on them," Seale says. "He might ring me. I'm hoping he does." Word from another source is that Warner Bros will be seeking a federal government top-up – similar to the deal that attracted Alien: Covenant and Thor: Ragnarok to Australia – to bring the so-called location offset to an internationally competitive rate.

I give up, either Miller is deliberately fooling us all or he can't make up his mind.
12.10.2015: Miller stated that Charlize Theron is unlikely to return as a central character in the sequel, though there might be a scene with Max and Furiosa. He has also stated that unlike Fury Road, The Wasteland will be a quieter affair with a smaller budget and fewer special effects and stunts

Now Seale says one of the scripts is centered on Furiosa. What is going on?

This is very confusing since Miller has been saying the opposite.

I read that Fury Road was originally meant to be two movies with one part being "Furiosa". Could that be the script he is talking about? or maybe he read the anime script?
