It's likely the war parties, what was left of them, was trapped in the canyons with the biker gang and since it's their territory they'd likely battle it out. lol After all if they're trapped in the canyon it pretty much means they're cut off not only from the Citadel but Gas town and Bullet Farm too.

I don't blame him. Wouldn't want to live with a smelly bunch of mutants either. But Furiosa's surely still going to need his help.

Still, I suppose that's what sequels are for.

On another note, how was that shite narration in the final cut?

is this shot in the movie ? It's strange, I saw it twice, with, and without the girl !?!

...............Yes. One of the few aspects of the film that really DID bother me. There are brief sporadic flashback scenes that don't work at all. Very jarring and unnecessary....and not terribly well done at that.

It was only in the beginning. Were there more throughout the test screening?

Movie was absolutely batshit insane fucking awesome! I know there's a plot point that will either piss people or just wonder "what was the point?" but it was the only logical conclusion the characters had.

It was a terrible piece of storytelling though. Really, really clumsy. If you've built an entire movie around a concept, to just go back on it is always going to be a bit of a damp squib dramatically. Also, I'd be . Found it a little rushed and unlikely to be wrapped up that neatly. Ehhh. Hard to discuss this without spoiling and I really, really don't want to get sued. Haha!

It was clumsy storytelling, no doubt, But Miller wanted to film this grand spectacle of a chase...and then he ultimately needed to get them back where they started.
Curious to see what happens in the story about half an hour after the movie ends? That's films 5, 6, & 7. Hardy has signed on for 2 or 3 more movies (depending on which internet source you believe) and Miller has said the story is "written" for the followups. Miller gives us 3 disparate groups led by 3 wacko tyrants and kills them all. People Eater? We hardly knew ya. Bullet Farmer? Each one of these guys could have had their own film/story. Miller just kills em off. They could have simply decided at the swamp that it wasn't in their interests to continue to indulge the Immortan. No, Miller wants The Citidel, The Bullet Farm and Gas Town all leaderless by the finale. Why? The ensuing chaos should provide plenty of fodder for more movies.

Ahh I see. They removed it then. He only narrates the opening starting with a black screen and the words "My name is Max. My world is fire and blood" which then shifts to police chatter, water wars etc along with archive footage of bombings as he says he was a "cop, a road warrior searching for a righteous cause". Once he's captured again and the main title hits the screen I don't recall any more narration.

I might as well jump on the complaint wagon.... WTF was with all the gunplay? I know, I know, the bullet farmer and all that, but I loved that about the original trilogy...The lack of conventional weapons. The logic of (re)using arrows or bolts. The scarcity. Not just fuel, but bullets, food, water, lingerie. Remember lingerie?
Too many Glocks, and heavy machine guns. The harpoon guncars with the anchors were cool though. I turned to my sister and said: "she can't stay down with three barrels in her, not with three she can't!)
At the swamp scene she turned to me and said: "Ohhh, Landstriders!" referencing The Dark Crystal. (see one here):

DGSimo wrote:Also big WTF at the bog scene...you know when you see those weird stilted people. I legitimately looked over to my friend and asked "what the fuck is that?!" thinking my mind had slipped in to another movie until he pointed out it was people.

Also we all caught the Toecutter scene right?!

The bog scene for me was also very WTF. The quad stilts were interesting for the brief moment we see them. At first it looked liked the creatures from Jim Henson's The Dark Crystal.

Also, did anyone get the impression that the scene in the bog where Max kills the Bullet Farmer might have been cut? I liked how it was handled off screen, but it still would have been nice to have another stationary hand-to-hand fight.

What was the Toecutter scene? I must have missed it.

I have a few other random questions. Why did the war parties stay at the edge of the canyon even though Bullet Farmer never made it back? Maybe they were regrouping and getting ready to go out in search?

Also, did anyone notice at the end at the Citidal that there was a man with what looked like a digitally enlarged deformed mouth?

HaHa. Beat you to the Dark Crystal reference. :P
The Toecutter scene was just a quick flash, only a few frames of Toecutters "bug-out" popping eyeballs a-la Mad Max. In one of the flashback assaults.
