Back 2 The Max Update

Just an update on where it's all at with the video and so on (there is supposed to be an update on the Back 2 The Max web site with all this, I just haven't had a chance to do it).

- The pictures that have been appearing on the front page at madmaxmovies.com are from the extra shoot that was done, and are obviously concentrated more on the vehicles in action.

- The front page pictures will ultimately be put together in another gallery at the back2themax.com web site, so don't worry if you miss any. There have also been requests for larger versions of a couple of them to use as Windows backgrounds, so I'll try to make that available as well if there is interest.

- A preview of the Back 2 The Max documentary will be shown at the Celebration of Ability day event in Wonthaggi next Tuesday (December 3rd), the flyer and info are linked on the events page. My understanding is that this preview concentrates more on how the event came together than the event itself. It's basically a lead-in to the Back 2 The Max event and documentary, this is a background to why the event came about, the people involved, and some earlier footage.

- A trailer for the main documentary should be done and available online within the next few weeks.

I put this on the madmaxmovies.com events page, but didn't realise I hadn't announced it anywhere - please note that the premiere of Back 2 The Max is scheduled for January 11th 2003. Full details can be found on the events page here:

Hopefully I'll get the back2themax.com web site fully updated with the current status of everything in the next day or so.

Maybe someone already asked this, but will "Back 2 the Max" ever be released on home video in the U.S.?

The intention is to make the documentary available on both VHS and DVD, in PAL and NTSC. So basically wherever you are you'll be able to get a version that's compatible with whatever system you have.

It's unlikely that it would be available "in stores" or anything though (not sure if that's what you're asking).

Thanks, Peter!! This is good to know.

By the way. My cousin never saw "The Bounty" with Mel, so we watched it on DVD - on December 23rd, the anniversary date of the Bounty's launch. So we had fun.

Hope you're havin' a Happy Holiday!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
