Touched a nerve there didn't I BBB? LOL!

Beans on toast is rather nice, grated cheese over it is even nicer... as for frogs legs or snails I have yet to brave that delicacy. I think by the time I'm about 95 should be the best time I won't have a clue what I'm doing by that age anyway.

Bugsy's right about Vegemite going a long way, but it depends on how big the jar is and how good your throwing arm is, off a cliff is good but into a fast flowing river is best. Marmite is the UK equivelant, I've never touched the stuff myself having a natural aversion to such toxic waste products from deseased cattle but hey whatever floats your boat. I'll stick to good ol' cornflakes for breakfast .. or a sausage egg McMuffin if I'm "eating out"

Hey Chase, I did think everyone in Arizona ate Gila monster on a stick. I was taught that at school. People from Florida ate skewered Aligator and people from Canada ate skewered Beaver ... if they had a really big stick, it was moose.

You mean I was taught wrong?

I've found that posting a recipe can go further towards describing a food item than a hundred thousand "Savorys" or "Piquents".

I like to try different types of foods now & again.

Some stuff works well (Aussie style meat pie minus Pea soup & tomato sauce for example)

Some does not (Murgh Masala.. Eeeuuugh! Where's the LOO?).

And some is the same as what we got, just under a different name.

Just jerking ya chain a little there Foxtrot. I'm adventurous in some of the things I'd eat. I'd pretty much try anything once but there are certain things I won't touch. Over here in Normandy they have a yearly event in the village it's a big community dinner. They serve all sorts of food for it, but one which smells and looks the worst is Tripe. I almost tried it but wussed out at the last minute. My mate tried it and said it was nice but everytime he burped he tasted it again even 3 days after the event! I'm glad I didn't try it.

Getting back to recipes. I got talking on the phone the other day with my website builder, he lives in Florida (Kissimee) and even he started foisting a recipe for Biscuits and Gravy on me when I mentioned this forum. Sometime this year I hope to get to Florida and try it out first hand. Grits as well. I'd only ever heard of those from the film My Cousin Vinny. Boiled gravel, hmmm sounds deee-lish-shush! Not! Eating beaver? ... Duuuuh I don't geddit?

....I'm joking Hehehehehheheheheee I'M NOT THAT SHELTERED! Image

You mean surimi fish protein? Fish sticks? Crabsticks? White with pink tops?

Nice they are, inspite of actually being some reconstituted fish fat.
